DAKAR 2013 ROUTE MAP

The 2013 Dakar will be unlike any other! Peru, which hosts the start of the rally for the first time, brings its unique geography to bear: competitors will face the first strings of dunes on the second day of the race. For its 5th edition on the American continent, the rally will resume its traditional north-south journey, which will run alongside the coastline of the Pacific this year. The rapid encounter with the Peruvian and the Atacama Deserts will transform the usual level of difficulty, but the stay in Argentina will immediately call upon all the drivers’ and teams’ resources. To reach Santiago, they will ultimately have to face 3 highly intense stages in the middle of the Atacama Desert. The day before the finish, the outcome will remain undecided.
