AXES

Bought these at the OC College swap meet; $15, $4 and $4.

I grew up slinging an axe to split wood to heat our family home during the bone-chilling cold winters down south. I was young, so I don't remember the brand of axe or where it came from, I just remember it being a double-sided axe. My dad taught me the details of wood splitting and when the axe would not split it, I would use the wedge and sledge hammer.

Since I am outfitting my rig for expedition status, having a good axe on board is a good idea, so I am just doing my research and it seems everthing is touched by technology these days and sametime, there are the classics that are great as well.
